Sintra opened doors to the Water and Waste Museum, located on the premises of the former Science Museum of Sintra, in Ribeira de Sintra. This new museum will be a point of reference in the areas of education and environmental awareness, as well as scientific and technological dissemination within the scope of the urban cycle of water and waste.
The Water and Waste Museum will have a diversified programming, in order to attract new audiences, but focused on the educational community, through actions of education and awareness of the community for the adoption of values and habits related to the preservation of environmental heritage, especially with regard to the water cycle, promoting and organizing courses, internships, seminars, meetings, exhibitions and training.
