São Martinho Churchyard Viewpoint

Located in the Town’s Historic Centre, this viewpoint is easily accessed and it is considered a true Romantic setting.

Vines envelop the columns and the porch sheltering those who sit under it, making it the perfect place to enjoy the view of an alchemical landscape. From this viewpoint it is possible to view part of the Sintra National Palace and the white houses crowned by the Moorish Castle and the Pena Palace. The rural landscape can be seen in the distance, extending to the ocean. The benches invite us to take a break and relax. This spot is particularly charming at the end of the day when the sun sets behind the mountain.
