Assafora Cave
Location: Assafora
Development: 340 m horizontal
Access level 1-10: 2 — easy with great accessibility
Visiting conditions: visits are not permitted for purposes of leisure, recreation or tourism
Visits are permitted for cultural or scientific purposes, as long as validated by the PNSC (Sintra-Cascais Natural Park) services or, if delegated, by the Associação de Espeleólogos de Sintra (the Sintra Speleologists’ Association)
Samarra North and Samarra South Caves
Location : the cliffs of Praia da Samarra
Development: 40 m to 50 m horizontal
Access level 1 -10: 1 — very easy with accessibility conditioned by the tide
Visiting conditions: visits permitted
Praia da Adraga Cave
Location: Adraga Beach
Development: 120 m horizontal
Access level 1 -10: 1 to 4 depening on the tide and time of year
Visiting conditions: visits permitted
Pedra de Alvidrar Cave
Location: Pedra de Alvidrar, Southern cliff of Adraga Beach
Development: 130 m semi-vertical
Access level 1-10: 6, average to high — handline to be rigged on the cliff
Visiting conditions: visits are not permitted for purposes of leisure, recreation or tourism
Visits are permitted for cultural or scientific purposes, as long as validated by the PNSC services or, if delegated, by the Associação de Espeleólogos de Sintra (the Sintra Speleologists’ Association)
Fojo da Adraga (Adraga cavern)
Location: Southern cliff of Adraga Beach
Development: 90 m vertical
Access level 1-10: 8 — difficult with good accessibility
Visiting conditions: visits not permitted for purposes of leisure, recreation or tourism
Visits are permitted for cultural or scientific purposes, as long as validated by the PNSC services or, if delegated, by the Associação de Espeleólogos de Sintra (the Sintra Speleologists’ Association)
Falésia (Cliff) Cave
Location: between Pedra de Alvidrar and Ursa Beach
Development: 30 m horizontal with vertical access from the cliff
Access level 1 -10: 9 — very difficult
Visiting conditions: visits not permitted for purposes of leisure, recreation or tourism
Visits are permitted for cultural or scientific purposes as long as validated by the PNSC services or, if delegated, by the Associação de Espeleólogos de Sintra (the Sintra Speleologists’ Association)
Gruta da Manhosa - Manhosa Cave
Location: between Pedra de Alvidrar and Ursa Beach
Development: 30 m semivertical and vertical with 90m access
Access level 1 -10: from the cliff, 9 — very difficult
Visiting conditions: visits not permitted for purposes of leisure, recreation or tourism
Visits are permitted for cultural or scientific purposes as long as validated by the PNSC services or, if delegated, by the Associação de Espeleólogos de Sintra (the Sintra Speleologists’ Association)
Praia da Ursa Caves (three caves of marine origin)
Location : North of Ursa Beach
Development:
Ursa I — 500 m to the North, with 30 m and 1m gradient
Ursa II — 250 m to the North, with 35 m
Ursa III — 300 m to the North, with 30 m with a 1m gradient
Access level 1 -10: from 1 a 4, depending on the tide and time of year
Visiting conditions: visits not permitted for purposes of leisure, recreation and tourism

Vale Flor Cave
Location: the Quinta de Vale Flor (Vale Flor Farm), São Pedro de Penaferrim
Development: 30 m horizontal
Access level 1 -10: 1 — very easy. Gated. Authorization from the owner required
Visiting conditions: visits are not permitted for purposes of leisure, recreation and tourism
